Are you on the struggle bus with dinner prep, meal planning, and cooking? Are you having a hard time getting it together in the kitchen? … If your answer is ” Heck Yes!” then this episode is for you.
Today we are talking about meal planning and how you can actually achieve meal balance in your life. I know that a lot of times we say that balance is impossible — but our guest today Kris, will walk you through her system for meal and dinner prep that ANY mom can stick with it.
➡️ What do you do if you have picky eaters?
➡️ What does “balanced” in the kitchen actually look like when it comes to meal prep and meal routines?
➡️ Can you enjoy the meal planning/cooking process?
➡️ Can you ditch the food-negative thought patterns about what you SHOULD be eating?
Let’s get practical, let’s get simple, and let’s create a routine that works for you.
And this routine is what Kris calls “Balanced Eating.” Not in a negative way or rule-based way but … Kris defines balanced eating as eating in a way that feels good for you. Whoo-hoo!
Part 1: You need to know what balanced eating is and — what it is not.
Part 2: You need to eat foods that are satisfying to you and taste good so that you can FINALLY throw away that “food rule book.”
This is just a “taste” ( hehe …. pun intended 😋) of meal planning without rules and meal planning for your lifestyle that we chat about in today’s episode.
Let’s ditch that overwhelm of where to start with meal planning, and as Kris would say … “Start with what you already have and with what is already working!”
Boom, mic drop! Listen in for more juicy truth bombs.

Hey there friend, I’m Kristin (but you can call me Kris). Founder of Healthy Balanced Mama, host of the Healthy Balanced Mama Podcast, Culinary Nutritionist, certified intuitive eating counselor, classically trained chef and mama of two spunky little ladies (it would be kind of weird if I wasn’t a mom, right?!). I’m a born-and-raised New Englander, married to a Canadian sailor, former dieter turned balanced eater and unofficial coffee connoisseur. There is nothing I love more than helping women (especially moms) ditch diets, create simple routines for less-stressed cooking and find their beautiful balance along the way (except maybe cookie dough ice cream…). But really, I love what I do!
