Let’s talk today in this Q&A about productivity and time management.
Answering your questions of:
➡️ What is a mindset exercise that you would say is a must for everyone?
➡️ Where do you start when you feel stuck and unmotivated to get started on anything? 🥺
➡️ How do you break a huge goal down? Like, starting a blog?
1:40 What is a mindset exercise that you would say is a must for every single day especially when you are battling negative thoughts while you are trying to be encouraging to others.
It kinda feels hypocritical but, what do you do?
First, Let’s release the guilt that you need to have it perfect in order to help others. Second, there is no “arrival” when it comes to mindset — it is never-ending, but always improving. Third, be your own detective and collect your own data.
Here is a way that you can collect the data and make a plan that’s simple for thinking more encouraging thoughts …
12:35 Where do you start when you feel stuck and unmotivated to even get started on anything? You feel derailed and don’t want to get back into the swing of things.
Here are a few keys:
➡️ Try to aim to work on your goal 5 days a week (i.e. exercising) so that you are not trying to do things perfectly as well… this way you are being super realistic.
➡️ Try not to take more than 2 days off in a row so that you don’t lose your momentum.
But what about when you’ve got nothing to start with? And by nothing … we mean you don’t want to start … even though you know you should.
First, check your mental health. Do you need to see your doctor?! Then second, be your own detective and answer these questions:
➡️ What excites you about your goal?
➡️ What lights you on fire?
Because feeling overwhelmed could be what’s stopping your motivation. Maybe you are struggling with perfectionism. Can you do it for 15 mins? Do you know where to start? Are you starting with a small step first? Do you need rest?
Pick one thing to start that is super easy and incentives it with a reward, accountability, and support … the habit stack … here’s how …
17:47 How do you break a huge goal down? In this question that is answered, Kim is thinking about starting a blog … YAY! But this is a huge task! YIKES! How would she get started?
How would you get started on breaking down your massive goal or a big project? Here’s how …
