A Purpose Driven Mom Podcast

Episode 224

Let’s talk business! How can you hit your business goals, manage your time and manage your family! Yikes. It’s a lot and the overwhelm can stop new businesses before they even get started.

Join Cara in this coaching call episode from the business roundtable — which is a recent addition to the Purpose Driven Mom Club!

We are chatting through:
➡️ How do you know what tasks to work on first in your new business – when it feels like there are a zillion?
➡️ How can you realistically plan out your business launch dates and due date to really move forward with your projects completed?
➡️ How can you create themes and organize your workdays so that business doesn’t take over your life but you still get business done?

Episode Highlights:

2:25 Let’s talk about business!
3:35 When starting a business how do you know what to work on during any given time? First, you need to look at all your tasks that need to get done. Then you’ll need to set up your short-term and long-term goal for your business to work on. Short term could be making a tripwire and long term could be setting up YouTube. At the beginning, it can feel overwhelming because there is everything to do to set up your business. Where do you focus?! What would be the best one for you?!
12:40 What about when everything takes so much longer than what you planned? If you always feel like you are behind and never hitting your deadlines, it can feel depressing because everything is taking so much longer. What about putting buffer time in to help you plan your goal end date BUT making sure you add in that buffer time for life to happen.
21:45 What themes can you use for batching tasks for business? Looking at your planner and coming up with themes for your workdays is easy when you take some steps to plan. First, make a list and then group your like tasks together. Listen in to Cara’s example.
