Paying attention to your mental health and doing things to keep it positive is such an important task. Cara shares the need to give yourself the space to stop, breathe and allow for downtime. This helps you get into the right mindset and can help from causing you to spiral. Prioritizing self care is just one thing that helps develop a positive mental space. It’s a gift that you give to yourself and your body. Whether it be enjoying your favorite activity, having an at home spa day or just going for a long walk, self care is something you do for yourself and can help cure restless thoughts and feelings. 

Practicing gratitude is another thing Cara shares can help with managing mental health. It can be hard at times to really stop, take in your surroundings and think about what you are grateful for in the moment. But, thinking about the progress you have made with something is more than enough. Whether it be your progress with a project, a workout goal or just where you currently are in life, these are all positive aspects that contribute to a great overall well-being.
