Are you looking for a way to stay on top of your goals? In this podcast episode, Cara introduces her presentation for the Purpose Driven Mom 2025 Summit, focusing on her “1% more” concept. She shares practical advice for busy moms on making small, incremental improvements in productivity and goal achievement.
Cara shares her thoughts on the 1% more concept and improvements moms can make using it. Most people use the “go big or go home” idea when trying to work on goals or to better themselves. For Cara, this is actually something that can hold you back. Switching to a 1% more concept can save you from procrastination and burnout. Dedicating to doing 1% more each day helps with consistency and leans into steady progression.
Cara shares a few examples of applying this concept. You can dedicate doing a little bit more each day as it relates to your goal. For example, if you have a fitness goal, you can dedicate doing a little bit more each workout. Add a minute more to the time spent running, one more rep to your weight exercises or one more glass of water a day to help maintain a health habit. This makes achieving a big goal so much easier and allows you to stay accountable.

Cara Harvey 00:00:03 Welcome to the Purpose Driven Moms show here at A Purpose Driven Mom, we believe that it’s possible to manage your home, work on your personal goals, and grow and scale an online business. Most productivity tips out there tell you to hustle more and make you feel shame about not being motivated enough. And we’re here to dispel this myth. I’m Kara Harvey and I am on a mission to help work at home. Moms realize that they have the power to go after their dreams, take care of themselves, and manage their home without perfectionism, guilt, or having to sacrifice their sleep. If you’re ready to shift your thinking around productivity and get some practical tips to help you manage your mom life, toss your earbuds in while you fold the laundry. And let’s do this! Welcome to the Purpose Driven Moms show, episode 452. And I’m going to be teaching a new method, the 1% more today on this episode. Before we jump in, I do want to share one of my 1% more goals, and that’s how I’ve kind of habit stacked some of my health goals.
Cara Harvey 00:00:58 I’ve been working with my buddy and we’ve been checking in all year. And one of the things I’ve been doing is slowly each week, either increasing something to become more healthy or decreasing something because I know it’s not as good for me. So an example here is my fiber. I’m trying to get enough fiber in. Ladies, I was reading this thing about fiber. We’re supposed to be getting 30g of fiber a day. I was not, and so one of the things I’ve been doing 1% more of and increasing is upping my fiber grams every single week. Same with protein, upping my protein, upping my water. I’ve also been trying to decrease my caffeine because as somebody who has a higher cortisol level, that is not great for me. And so I’ve been working with the company Magic Mind with not only their caffeine shots, but their non caffeinated gummies to kind of give me that boost. Anyone else take a cup of coffee at like 4:00 when you know you shouldn’t do it and then you’re jittery for the rest of the night? That’s been me.
Cara Harvey 00:01:48 And so my 1% more here is I’ve been decreasing the amount of caffeine I’ve been taking in from coffee and replacing it with a natural supplement like these gummies in Magic Mind, these are the mental gummies or the shots. They’re really good. The gummies are like a toned down version because they don’t have the caffeine and you can have them later in the day, which was which is my big win. They sent me both to try the taste on the gummies I liked a lot better. The shots definitely had that turmeric gingery type taste. It wasn’t bad, but the gummies are a little more palatable and you can give them to your kids. They’ve given me a code for listeners a purpose driven romcom magic mind. That’s where you can check them out and you can go use the code PDM mom 25 to get a discount on those gummies. I want you to think about your goals and ask yourself, how can I do 1% more? Or in my case of caffeine, like 1% less, right? How can I slowly.
Cara Harvey 00:02:39 Right, I didn’t go, oh, I’m never drinking caffeine again. I went, how can I get rid of one cup? What can I replace it with to make it a little bit easier? How can I still, for my protein get a little bit more protein? How can I drink a little bit more water? It’s not about all or nothing. Now in the episode, I’m going to talk to you about that concept today, and I want you to think about one of your goals as we go into it, and how you can just do 1% more or 1% less. Welcome to the Purpose Driven Mom show, episode 452. I am sharing with you a presentation that I have for our upcoming summit. I hope you have your tickets for Purpose Driven mom.com/20 25 summit will get you your free pass to watch all of these 25 incredible sessions, and learn to parent with intentionality, with grace, to manage your time in a way that feels incredible. And here’s a sneak peek. This is a brand new session that I did this year on the 1% More.
Cara Harvey 00:03:27 I have really been trying to use this concept in my life on how I can just show up a little bit more. I know what you’re saying, Kara. I’m doing my best. I’ve already. I’m showing up to the best of my ability. Yes, but it’s in your goals that you might be looking at things a little bit crooked. What if instead of saying go big or go home all or nothing, I’m going to do all the things you asked yourself? How can I do 1% more? Today? I use this concept with almost all of my goals, and what I realized was I went in a 12 week period and I doubled a lot of the things I was doing, and I’m going to talk about it in this session. In the session, it’s a session. So it was done as I was teaching it a session. You can watch if you like to watch, you can head to the link that’s going to be in the show notes that of Purpose Driven mom.com/podcast. 452 that’s going to have the YouTube video.
Cara Harvey 00:04:14 So the YouTube video will have the actual session so you can go and watch it. So, you know, if I’m talking to my session voice, that’s what we’ve got going on there. But we want to see you at the summit if you like these kind of videos, short and sweet to the point, I want to make sure that you check them out, go over, click the link in your show notes, go and get your ticket and I hope to see you there. I hope you enjoyed the session and I hope that it helps today. Welcome to my session on how 1% more can lead you to success. I’m Kara Harvey and I’m going to talk to you about the mindset behind the 1% more method, how you can use it with my 15 minute formula framework, and just get more done without feeling like you have to be perfect and do it all. Today we’re gonna talk about that big shift. Okay? How a 1% mindset can lead you to actually being more productive. We’re also gonna talk about how the pressure to be perfect is keeping you stuck, and how to realistically make goals and stick with them as a busy mom.
Cara Harvey 00:05:09 Do any of these sound like you? Before we jump in, I want to make sure you’re like, yes, this is gonna help me. Okay, maybe you’ve said it before, and if you’re watching this live at a session, you can feel free to drop in the chat. But if not, just kind of think for yourself. Do you say these things? Do you hear them in your voice? Right? I never feel like I have enough time to do it all. How about I set big goals but I struggle to stay consistent. How about this one? If I can’t do it perfectly, then it feels like I’m failing. I know this is a big one for a lot of the women in my community. I start strong, but I lose my momentum quickly. How about this? I feel like I’m always behind no matter how much I do. If that is not motherhood, right? And number six, I want to make progress and I’m unsure where to start. If you have said any of these, shoot today.
Cara Harvey 00:05:58 This week or ever. I hope that this session today is really going to help you, because this is one of the areas us moms struggle so much. Is this this number five, right? I feel like I’m always behind no matter how much I do, no matter how much I work on. And we’re going to talk about that today. I’m Kara Harvey if we’ve never met. I am a mom of three. My kids are seven, nine, and 18. I’m also the founder of the Purpose of Her Mom Club and the author of the book 50 Minute Formula How Busy Moms Can Ditch the Guilt, say yes to what matters and conquer their goals. And I am the host of the Purpose Driven Mom show on Apple, Spotify, all the places that you podcast. And I am a former burnt out school teacher turned life coach for work at home Moms, and I specialize in productivity and time management. I’ve been doing this for the past eight years. I’ve helped thousands of moms throughout my programs and at my events, and I hope that the stuff you’re going to get for me today is practical.
Cara Harvey 00:06:55 It helps you today, and you can take something away that you’ll be able to start automatically. All right. Enough about me. Let’s talk about you on a scale of 1 to 10, how much progress do you feel like you make on your to do list and your goals every day? One I barely cross one thing off. Ten. I’m killing it. Move over. Carol, let me teach this session five. Somewhere in the middle. Some days I’m killing it. Some days I’m struggling. I’m not sure where to go from here. I just think for yourself, because my goal is not to have you be a ten by the end of the session. I’m going to be real with you. That would be incredible. But unless you’re at a nine, you’re not going to get to a ten. My goal is actually just to move you one step further, which is really the point of my entire session here today, right? If you’re one, I hope that the tips I give will make you a two.
Cara Harvey 00:07:38 If you’re a four, I hope you can become a five, and so on and so forth. And just that mindset, just that wrapping your head around the fact that you don’t have to be perfect, but you can show up a little more is really going to help you moving forward. Because a lot of you come to these sessions, you come to these types of events and you’re like, yes, I cannot wait to perfect my life. I’m going to get it all together. This is going to solve every problem I’ve ever had in my entire life. But instead, I want you to look at this session and any session you’re watching at an event as what is one takeaway I can have to improve my life just a little bit? Or as we’re going to talk about today, 1%. All right. So let’s talk about the brain first and then we’ll move into the practical. Why I think the go big or go home mentality is actually holding you back. Do I have any people pleasing perfectionists.
Cara Harvey 00:08:27 All those peas right here with me today. Because I know what that feels like. There is an absolute pressure on us moms to do everything, to do it all well and to do it at once. I was just sharing with someone this morning. I said, it’s just such an interesting place to be in the world where things can feel like they’re crumbling underneath you. I’m currently going through a lot of personal issues, right? The world feels a little all over the place, right? There’s all these things happening, and then I have to take my kid to cheer, practice and let’s have dinner and let’s do all these things. The pressure that is on us as moms is wild and that go big or go home, do it all mentality is actually just holding you back because it’s setting you you up for failure because it’s making you think that if you don’t do all these things on the sticky note, right, if you don’t do them all and you don’t do them all well, and you don’t do them all now and you don’t do them all perfectly, there’s something wrong with you, but it’s not where the problem really is, is the way society has traditionally looked at goal setting and looked at tasks and things like that.
Cara Harvey 00:09:25 The other thing about this perfectionist must do it all mindset is it actually leads you to two places. One is procrastination and the other is burnout. Now the burnout, you’re like, I get it. I’m trying to do everything perfectly. I can’t show up perfectly. It’s making me exhausted. I feel burnt out. That makes sense. But how does it lead me to procrastination? You’re probably thinking, well, if I have to do everything perfectly, I couldn’t be procrastinating. Well, a lot of times we use perfectionism as our procrastination tool. And when you’re saying I will do this When? Right. I want to start my new Bible study, but I’ll do it when I have a full hour every morning to do it. Or I would like to work on this new podcast project I have, but I can’t do it until all these other things are checked off. Can I tell you something? It’s never going to be perfect, you know, I masked it and I realized that I was waiting for me to write.
Cara Harvey 00:10:14 I was waiting for this perfect week when all my kids were at school five days a week, and nobody was sick and there were no snow days or holidays off. Right. And then when I looked at it, I realized, when you count somewhere in for people like me who traditionally go to traditional schooling, my kids actually have more inconsistent weeks than they do consistent weeks out of a year. And that is so fascinating. Especially my kids have had at least one day off a week. I live in Philadelphia area, so the Eagles, when I’m recording this, have just won the Super Bowl. And so we head off for the parade. Oh, and then there’s the snow days, right? Like it just isn’t there. And so when we sit in our perfectionist mindset of I need to do it a certain way, it needs to be done 100%. We often procrastinate because also it’s so overwhelming. All right, I want to drink more water. Right. Maybe that’s your goal. Well, perfectionist you says, well, I read this thing that I’m supposed to drink a gallon of water a day, so unless I can do a gallon of water, like I’m a failure.
Cara Harvey 00:11:11 So I’m going to try on Monday, fail on Tuesday, and then put it off and put it off right instead. When you start to go from, I’ve got to do it all and I’ve got to do it intense and I’ve got to do it all. Well, to me, what are the small, consistent things I can do? You will become more productive. You will be more effective at crossing things off your to do list or tackling your goals. And you’ll also just feel better about yourself. So let’s talk about the 1% more. Just if you get nothing else from today, you’re doing a great job, friend Leanin pretend we’re giving a hug. You’re doing a great job. Cut yourself some slack. What you do is hard to show up every single day, no matter how old your kids are, or if you don’t have kids or whatever. But show up for other people every day to hold space for other people’s feelings and emotions. To show up at work in your best ability, at home, in your best ability for yourself, for your kids.
Cara Harvey 00:12:12 It’s a lot. And I just wanted to tell you this in case nobody does today, that you’re doing a great job. So go a little bit easier on yourself, friend. And know that getting stuck in the perfectionist mindset will not move you forward at all. Okay, let’s get concrete. Now we talked to the woo. We got to the brain. Let’s talk about the 1% more concept which is really just about small steps giving big results. Now I wrote a book called the 50 Minute Formula. It’s all about using what Darren Hardy calls the compound effect. Right? It’s about small showing up for 15 minutes a day, a little bit more, a little bit more. And today we’re going to tweak it a little and we’re going to talk about 1% more. Get really concrete because I was listening to a finance book. I have a lot of finance schools this year and it was talking about 1% more investing, right? Can you invest 1% more every single month? And I realized that it really wasn’t huge.
Cara Harvey 00:13:02 And when I could wrap my brain around the tiny ness of 1%, I realized I can just show up a little bit more. We often get stuck in this cycle of, I can’t do it, it’s too much. I don’t have the time. That’s where the 15 minute formula came in. But this, this new presentation I came up with this year really is about looking at it even smaller instead of 15 minutes is saying, what is 1% more I can do, right? It’s that tiny progress over time. I’m going to give you some examples in a second. Now, when you’re doing this 1% more, when you’re going in and you’re saying, what can I do today to show up a little bit more? And again, our brain doesn’t want to let a little bit be enough. Our brain wants to make a little bit be not good enough, not enough to make traction. But I’m going to give you some examples to show you how 1% more actually can make a huge difference. Okay, the concept has you starting with what you’re already doing and just adding to it.
Cara Harvey 00:13:55 And if you start at zero, that’s okay. We’ll start at zero and then move to one, and then two, and then 2.4 or whatever, 1% would be right. But you’re going to need to know a baseline. So as I’m going through the examples, I want you to think I teach a five step process. Right. And one of them is using your baseline. Your baseline is where you’re starting now. So again that gallon water example, all the charts on Pinterest you got to do a gallon water right. But if I’m only drinking eight ounces a day, to go from eight ounces to a gallon is going to set me up for failure. So what if instead I used my actual current life, my actual current baseline as my guide? So let’s look at some really concrete examples. I’ve got about 3 or 4 here I want to walk you through. Okay. This first one is for walking. I talked to a lot of moms. Movement is important friends, you should be moving your body.
Cara Harvey 00:14:46 But a lot of us are starting off with like, I can’t I can’t do anything. I can’t get up in the morning. I don’t have the time. Insert reason that your brain tries to justify okay in your head. But what if you did 1% more? And so actually what I did was I went into ChatGPT and I asked it, I talk also, I have a whole bunch of stuff on how to use AI as like your own assistant if you’re curious, but I asked it because I was like, I don’t even know what 1% more is. And I said, I would like to start walking. Okay, starting at ten minutes a day, can you create me a 12 week plan that has me increasing 1% every single week so that I can improve? Okay, he came up with these numbers for me. I didn’t even have to do the thinking, okay, I just had to show up. So as you can see, week one at ten minutes, week two 10.6 minutes. So what is that ten minutes? And 30s right.
Cara Harvey 00:15:40 It’s not that much more. But we think, oh I could never do more. Well why does do more have to be walk ten minutes I run a marathon. Why can’t do more, be 30s more. Okay. And as you can see, it exponentially just increases and compounds and compounds to by. If this is your 12 week plan, by the end you started at doing ten minutes once a week and now you’re doing almost 18 minutes once a week. You’ve nearly doubled what you were doing and it is less overwhelming now. You could put into ChatGPT like, I want to walk even more specific. I’m trying to walk 1% more every time I walk. I want to walk over the course of three times a week over 12 weeks, right? Please create a plan. I think we want to make it more complicated than it needs to be. And now with the use of AI, we don’t even have to do the math. We just have to ask the right questions. So if you have a walking goal, ask yourself, how many days a week do I want to walk? What does that look like for me? In this example, I only have it set up to walk once a week, but again, you could even do 1% more.
Cara Harvey 00:16:51 And if you change that to walking two times a week, you would essentially be at 18 minutes on week six. And then what, 36 minutes by week 12? That’s incredible. And what I think is really important is to remind yourself that while the 30s here or there doesn’t feel like a lot, it will add up. The other thing about the 1% more that I want you to see in this example, is that it doesn’t feel like a lot to push myself for 30 extra seconds of walking the first into the second week isn’t going to feel like a lot of pressure. My body’s not going to be mad. It’s not going to be. I can’t do 30 more seconds. My brain can conceptualize and wrap around 30 more seconds. That’s it. I can do that. Oh, and then just 30 more seconds. Now, it’s interesting because I’ve used this concept for a long time. When I was in middle school, the summer between eighth and ninth grade, I wanted to run. I was trying to get healthier.
Cara Harvey 00:17:43 If I’m real with you, let’s just be real friend to friend. Here I was trying to lose weight because I wanted to look better, and I thought running was the only way to do it. So I was like, let’s run, right? And the way that I started running was, can I get to the first mailbox, and then can I get to the second and then the third. And by the end of the summer, it took me. All summer I was running around the entire block, pretty big block. It was maybe a half mile. And now that I think about it. But that was more than I was running, and I was starting to feel really good about what I was doing. Okay, so see how 1% more can move you forward? All right. Let’s look at another example here is reading a lot of moms come to me I want help with reading. What am I going to be doing? I just want to find time. Now reading five pages might take you the full 15 minutes.
Cara Harvey 00:18:28 Right. So by adding this in, you are also adding time. Now here when we were increasing, it wasn’t adding a ton more time like yes, it doubled by the end, but it didn’t feel like a ton more time. Right? Ten minutes is to 18. But here five pages to ten pages might go from 15 minutes to 30. So it does add more time, but it doesn’t have to feel like it’s taking forever. And that’s what’s important, right? You want the changes to be gradual and slow so that you don’t even feel them. I do these with my kids a lot. When I was trying to decrease the amount of tech time they were having, we started at our baseline. I can’t remember what the baseline was, but say the baseline is like three hours a day and I’m like, I’m not okay with three hours a day. So instead of saying no tech at all, we went from three hours a day to two hours and 45 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes until I got to the place I wanted to go.
Cara Harvey 00:19:17 I intermittent fast, and while I’m trying to do my best to intermittent fast, so I’m only on like my third week. So week one I was like 12 hours. Okay, so next week I’m going to do 11.5 because it’s only cutting 15 minutes. Then I’ll do 11 until I get to a place that feels where I want to be. Here’s the same with the reading. I’m going to read a little bit more and a little bit more, and it’s not going to feel like a ton. But in 12 weeks, if you only do something one time a week, in 12 weeks, you will double what you were doing when you started. Think about that. If you only show up one time a week for a goal, no matter what the goal is, using the 1% principle, you will double the amount that you were doing on week one. And isn’t that better than not doing anything? Isn’t that better than saying, well, I can’t read for an hour a day, so I might as well not pick up the book, right? I have a work example.
Cara Harvey 00:20:09 I have a book like I shared with you, and I talked to a lot of people who want to write, and I wanted to share this one for my friends who write blog posts or email newsletters or even a book. Write how the 1% more. And again, this is just showing up one time a week for the goal. So if you go into ChatGPT and you say, okay, I’m going to show up four times a week, I’m going to show up five times a week, two times a week. You can customize and adjust it, and I’m going to show you in a second, I’m going to pull it up and we’ll make a couple plans. It will even make it better for you. Right. So week one I’m doing 100 words a day okay, 1% more, 1% more. And this is essentially how I wrote my book. Just did a little bit more every single time I sat down. The impact after 12 weeks is that you’ll have 700 words written. If you write every single day and say you write every single day, here you’ll have 1300 words, right? Doubling the output.
Cara Harvey 00:21:01 And by the end of 12 weeks, say you write every single day this many times. You could have written 13,000 words, blog posts, emails, or even a book draft. So I want to show you I’m going to just pull up ChatGPT real quick, and I wanted to show you how you can use ChatGPT to help you in some prompts with this. Right? So let’s say we have we did a writing example, we did exercise, we did reading. Let’s do cleaning because I don’t like cleaning. I want to clean my house three times a week and am struggling to create a realistic plan. Can you please make me a 12 week plan where I am cleaning three times a week and increasing the time I am cleaning by 1% each session. Okay, so I’m very clear. I’m trying to just increase. This is how often I want to do it. This is what I want to do, right? This is my length okay. So this is saying all right. If you start at 30 minutes.
Cara Harvey 00:22:05 Now here’s the thing I could have also done I could have said I’m starting at ten minutes. I’m starting at zero minutes. I’m starting at five minutes. Right. That way. It makes sense. Now here’s how I love this plan. Right? It has me starting with three 30 minute sessions, which I applaud. I don’t you don’t even have to move up 1% yet. But now we’re going to increase it and then we’re going to increase it, and we’re going to increase it and see how it slowly increases over time. So by the end of the 12 weeks, I went from 30 minutes three times a week to 45 minutes three times a week. Now, what’s really cool about using AI is it gave me some more tips. It gave me some things I could do and I could ask it, hey, oh, would I like help structuring the tax for each session. Sure thing I can say, please. Sure thing. And then the I can help you make a really good plan with showing up the way you want to.
Cara Harvey 00:22:55 I think a lot of times if you want to use I, we want to get in there. We want to say, oh, I’m going to do all these things. We don’t give it our baseline. We don’t say exactly what we’re going to be doing, and then we are overwhelmed with how much we have to do so. By using this 1%. I’ve not only got a really great plan, I can then use the AI to tell me what am I doing, what does it look like and customize it for myself. Let’s stop and pause so that I can invite you to the 2025 Purpose Driven Mom Summit. It’s here. Our eighth annual event will be kicking off on April 7th, and the only thing missing is you go to a purpose driven mom. Com Slash summit 2025 link is up in the show. Notes to come join 25 presenters to help you have your day your way. We’re going to help you make a plan for your day. That’s not going to help you feeling super overwhelmed.
Cara Harvey 00:23:43 And the best part? It’s free. We’re going to help you manage your life, your household, your goals, your business, all while feeling lit up about life and not feeling stuck in that day to day drudgery that a lot of us moms can feel. The eighth annual purpose of her Moms Summit will be kicking off on April the 7th, and you can get a free pass to join us and hear from some of the most incredible experts on the internet. Go now and get your ticket and we’ll see you soon. So how do we keep going? Because here’s the thing it’s going to feel too small. Sometimes you’re going to feel like it’s not enough. But I want to remind you of the power of consistency over intensity. Here’s the thing, though. Consistent is not the same as constant, and I think that’s important to remember. A lot of times we feel like we have to be doing things seven days a week or it doesn’t count. You need to start telling yourself that just by showing up.
Cara Harvey 00:24:39 I’m doing great. I want to remind you that every time you show up, what you’re really doing is rewiring your brain to realizing, like, I’m a person who shows up. I’m a person who can work on my goals. The other thing I do recommend is having a visual reminder of the 1%, so you can take a little sticky note, put it somewhere you’re going to see on your fridge or whatever, and say, great job showing up. I say this to myself, especially with my workouts. When I’m done, I’m like, way to show up today, Kara. Great job right? Telling myself that showing up was what matters now. The other thing I do recommend to is tracking so you can create yourself a little tracker. You can make a calendar. I also like a visual tracker, not just of did I do the thing, but how much I showed up. So a lot of times I’ll recommend to my moms and my coaching group, get yourself like a mason jar and like those little pompoms or anything.
Cara Harvey 00:25:27 You can count marshmallows because I don’t care. And every single time you show up for one of your goals, you’re going to stick the pom pom in the jar. And then at the end of the week, you’re going to look at it filling up. And then at the end of the month, you’re going to say, look at how many times I showed up for my goal. And that’s what really matters. It’s not always did I complete the thing. It’s how many times did I show up? Right? Where is that at? You might want to track that instead. Also, though, that reminder that 1% more is good. It’s great. And on the days where it’s really hard, on the days we have so many things we’re trying to do, on the days that we’re struggling to just exist. By saying to myself, I am just going to sit and read for five minutes today. I’m proud of you for showing up and it’s enough. It’s going to help your mindset way more.
Cara Harvey 00:26:16 You need to also give yourself some grace, like you’re also going to have days where you don’t even have that five minutes to show up. And that’s also okay, right? It is also okay to say I don’t have the time to show up in this sort of way as well. All right. So here I’m going to give you some homework a little next small step after this session that I want you to do, I want you to pick one area of your life where you can apply 1% more. Okay. Walking, reading, journaling, prayer, life, meditation, anything. Okay, where would you like to focus? That’s your first step. Okay. Decide it right now. If you’re watching this live, you can drop it in the chat. Do the first step. Now let’s do it. I also want to give you just a quick tip. I make myself kind of a one minute rule. If I can do something in one minute or less, I just do it right then or there instead of like I need to make a decision about something.
Cara Harvey 00:27:08 So let me just do it. I’m just going to make it right now instead of like dragging it out. So anyway, you know, when I was talking, right, you knew exactly which area you wanted to do. What is that? I want you to determine your baseline. That’s your starting point. All right. I am meditating for two minutes, like once a week. I’d like to improve that. I want you to determine your baseline. And then I want you to write down what 1% more is going to be for today. You’re then going to create your own 1% plan. Use AI to help you put your baseline in. Tell it this is where I’m at. Can you make a 1% more plan? But make sure you’re being specific here because that’s the mistake I just made when I put it in is I didn’t put a baseline. Here’s where I’m starting. Here’s how many days I’d like to show up for this goal. Please make me a goal that increases 1% every single time I show up over the course of.
Cara Harvey 00:27:57 And I like 12 weeks because I’m a big quarterly planner. But you could say over the course of the month, over the course of the week, right, you can customize this. I need to do something a little more every single day, etc. and then it’ll ask you, hey, do you want some more tips? Do you want some more help? You can say, what are some ways I can start to make positive affirmations around this? To remind myself that 1% more is enough. Ask the AI for help and then share it with a friend, right? Ask a friend. Hey, I’m trying to do this thing. Do you want to be buddies? Share it inside the group for the session. Really, don’t keep it to yourself. Track your goal and move forward 1% more.
