Lessons Learned in 400 Episodes

A Purpose Driven Mom Podcast

Episode 400

Are you a busy mom who is thinking about starting a podcast? In the 400th episode of the Purpose Driven Mom Show, Cara celebrates the milestone by sharing insights from her podcasting experience and provides tips for those thinking about starting their own podcast.

Cara shares the benefits of starting a podcast. One reason is that it is where people are right now and you can reach so many people with such little resources. With a few courses, some research and a microphone, all you have to do is click record. Another benefit is that podcasting can work around your schedule. Whether it’s one episode or two episodes a week, you can create a flow and rhythm that works with your lifestyle.

Consistency is key to having a successful podcast. Consistent planning, recording and editing needs to be determined early on so listeners know when to tune in and what to expect from you. If you are starting your podcast and have a lot of moving parts happening, consider committing to one episode a month. Over time, if you create a plan that works around other priorities, commit to changing your schedule to once every two weeks. Re-evaluate every few months to maintain a good balance.
